Originally a 2 bedroom property we were given the task of converting this loft space into a further 2 bedrooms, with an additional w/c making it a 4 bedroom house.
In doing so, we had to lower the 1st floor ceiling height, to give us the additional height to the ridge and remove a chimney breast down to the ground floor.

External Walls beginning to take shape.
The walls are then sheathed, using structural hardwood plywood, before a cement based master board which acts as a fire resistant barrier to the neighbouring properties.
The Flat roof joists are then fitted bearing on to external walls and into Hangers connected to the Ridge beam Steel.

Firring pieces are then fitted to create the falls on the flat roof to control the flow of water.
As a Cold Roof detail was used we then Insulate between the joists before Sheathing the flat roof.
Once Sheathing is complete Fascia and soffit are installed with ventilation ready for the roof Coverings and windows.

We then begin to progress inside, Stud Partitions are constructed aswell as insulating the external walls.
Stud Walls are Constructed on the 1st floor ready for services before insulation and boarding.
Stair Case Installed
We Begin Closing up and prepare all surfaces for plastering.
Bathroom Preparation for Tiles, Remove loose plaster.
Remove old floor boards and replace with T&G Moisture resistant before laying a cement based tile underlay.
Plastering complete, 2nd Fix Carpentry works begin along with a mist coat.

Starting to take shape as the 2nd Fix comes to end, flooring and tiling to follow.

With the Finishes being installed and the scaffolding
being dropped all our hardwork is revealed.
New Front Door installation along with a beautiful
brushed oak herringbone flooring, in the living room.

Tiles laid in 1/3 brick bond pattern in a new elegant family bathroom.
New laminate flooring laid throughout 1st floor bedrooms.

A small W/C we managed to fit on top floor.
